Bequests

A charitable bequest is a simple gift made to Operation Smile Ireland through your will. Leaving gifts from wills and trusts, both large and small, is one of the easiest way to support Operation Smile Ireland’s mission. In addition to continuing your valuable support for Operation Smile Ireland, including a bequest in your will can offer several benefits:

• Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
• You can modify your bequest if your circumstances change.
• You can direct your bequest to a particular purpose (be sure to contact us to make sure your gift can be used as intended).
• You can have the satisfaction now of knowing that your bequest will support Operation Smile Ireland in the way you intended when you are gone.

Legacy Leadership Programme

Your planned gift, regardless of its nature or size, will be honoured during your own lifetime by inclusion in Operation Smile’s International Legacy Leadership Programme.

As a member, you will join a select group of donors who are transforming lives and uplifting families the world over.

There is no minimum commitment required for membership in the Legacy Leadership Programme, nor is proof of a commitment necessary. We ask that members confirm their gift in writing by filling out a Membership Form.

If you have already included Operation Smile Ireland in a bequest or other planned gift, we hope you will let us know. Your willingness to be listed as a member of the Legacy Leadership Programme encourages others to follow your example. We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to notify us of your plans on a confidential basis.

If you have not yet included Operation Smile Ireland in your plans and would like to explore the best options for you and your family, please feel free to contact us. We would be glad to assist you confidentially and with no obligation.

Benefits of Membership

Each member of the Operation Smile Legacy Leadership Programme will receive a certificate of acknowledgement that you can proudly display in your home or office.

In addition to this small expression of gratitude, members of our Legacy Leadership Programme are recognised with the inscription of their name in the lobby of our global headquarters and on our website. Your presence on these lists encourages others to join in this important effort to secure Operation Smile’s future.

Legacy Leaders are invited to become more prominently involved with Operation Smile Ireland and will receive occasional invitations to events.

Additionally, as a member of the Legacy Leadership Programme, you will receive periodic updates and information about Operation Smile Ireland’s programmes and services.

Lastly, members will benefit from the realisation that they are contributing in a meaningful way to our vital mission and will effectively help us carry on our work to heal children’s smiles for decades to come.
