Volunteer

We are more than volunteers, we are global ambassadors

Simply put, Operation Smile would not exist without its volunteers. Every medical mission is comprised of a qualified team of physicians, nurses, dentists, speech therapists and other medical professionals come together to form every medical mission. They selflessly give their time, skill and compassion with the ever-present goal of helping every child with a correctable facial deformity.

The following medical specialties are applicable for international medical missions: Plastic Surgeon; Anaesthetist; Paediatrician; Paediatric Intensivist; Paediatric Emergency Medical Physician; Biomedical Technician; Speech Pathologist; Child Life Specialist; Nurse (RN, BSN, MSN); Orthodontist; General Dentist.

Although non-medical positions on missions abroad are not readily available, Operation Smile Ireland recruits volunteers for specific projects and events.

Volunteerism is only one way we're able to help more and more children. There are many more.
