We are more than volunteers - we are global ambassadors

Operation Smile Ireland would not exist without its volunteers. Every medical mission is comprised of a qualified team of physicians, nurses, dentists, speech therapists and other medical professionals. They selflessly give their time, skill and compassion with the ever-present goal of helping every child with a correctable facial deformity.

Our medical volunteers are making a difference in the lives of children with cleft lips and cleft palates every day. As part of our medical team, these professionals reach out to each child, generously offering their time, knowledge and skills to heal smiles.

Medical mission volunteers must be credentialed by Operation Smile Ireland prior to joining a mission. If you have not been credentialed by Operation Smile Ireland, please click below to request an application.

*Some mission sites require night nurse staffing by pre/post nurses during surgery week.
